Juniors Golf Section

 

Welcome from Darren Clark – Junior Organiser 2024

Our Junior/Cadet section is for our younger members up to the age of 18 years and is developed around the coaching of our professionals. We have seen several players join the professional rank, of which we are very proud.

Towards the end of each month (the dates are in the club calendar) we hold a junior competition for our members – this is for both boys and girls of all playing abilities. Some of our better players play the full 18 holes, whilst others, who perhaps are not up to that yet, play a 9 or even a 3-hole competition.

Each year we hold a Junior Open at Stock Brook and as a club we enter all available Essex competitions as well as some national competitions. Indeed, several of our existing players represent the club at a county and national level.

For those who are not yet able to obtain an official handicap our handicap secretary can assign a ‘club handicap’ of up to 54. This is great for new players as it gives them something to play to and a goal to improve upon.

This is a great and friendly section for both boys and girls and we look forward to seeing you soon.
