Playing Etiquette

Playing etiquette is no more than good sense and courtesy to fellow players.

1. Players must not play until the players in the group ahead are out of range.
2. Players should not stand close to or directly behind the ball, or directly behind the hole when a player is about to play. Be ready to play when it is your turn.
3. If a ball is in danger of hitting or landing close to anyone on the course, the player who struck the ball must shout the customary warning “FORE”
4. Always play a provisional ball if you believe that your original ball may be difficult to find or Out of Bounds.
5. Replace divots on the fairways, rake bunkers and repair pitch marks on the greens.
6. Always play at a good pace and keep up with the group in front. If you have fallen behind the group in front and are holding up the group behind then invite that group (irrespective of the number of players in that group) to play through.
7. Show consideration to for other players on the course, do not disturb their play by moving around or making unnecessary noise.
8. Mobile phones should be switched off on the course.
