Winter Rules

The club will indicate when Winter Rules start and end by placing a notice on the main notice board.

When Winter Rules are in force, the following procedures should be observed:

With the introduction of the new golf rule changes in January 2019, many of the old Winter Rules concerning embedded balls and tending the flagstick have been replaced – with the exception of the ‘pick, wipe & place’ rule on the fairway which states:

On fairways and closely mown areas through the green a ball may be lifted, cleaned, and placed within six inches of where it originally lay, but not nearer the hole

Please adhere strictly to the white marking, particularly around the greens – and observe the pathways and other roped off areas that have been designed to protect other areas during the winter months, using white marker posts and rope
