Members Funds

Our main income is from the entrance fees paid to enter Club competitions. Each year a complete set of audited accounts is presented at the Annual General Meeting

The income is used to support the following activities:

Dependent on success, approximately half is spent on supporting the various teams from the Men’s, Ladies’, Juniors’ and Seniors’ sections who represent Stock Brook in official county or national competitions.
The other large expense is the maintenance and engraving of the Trophies for Club competitions together with the mementoes of these trophies awarded to the winners at the Presentation Day, which is held in October.
We also we have various social functions that are held throughout the year, and all monies relating to these are accounted for by the treasurer.
Any surplus funds are kept for contingency and from time-to-time used for specific items to benefit members as agreed (and Minuted) by the Main committee.

The Ladies’, Juniors’ and Seniors’ sections each has their own social fund, which they manage themselves

In addition to this, each Captain within the Club has a ‘Chosen Charity’ for their year. Last year over £10,000 was raised between them. When entry fees are due for the various knockout competitions Reception hold special envelopes, which should be used and then deposited in the safe, just left of the stairs that lead down to the changing rooms.
